Stichting Adamfo Ghana werkt met en voor straatkinderen en kwetsbare jongeren in Ghana om hen een betere toekomst te bieden. We werken met lokale partners aan verschillende projecten in het land. Onze focus ligt op het bieden van toegang tot onderwijs, geven van beroepstraining en empowerment workshops. Kinderen worden zo in staat gesteld om zelfstandig, weg van de straat, een toekomst op te bouwen. Ook voeren we media-campagnes, advocacy en lobby om de Ghanese overheid te overtuigen van de noodzaak om met passend beleid en oplossingen te komen.

This community is disadvantaged, most people are unemployed and are surviving with government grants that are not enough, because of poverty, children dropout from school at an early time, there is too munch teenage pregnancy and men rape children and pay parents so that they cannot open cases, women are abused every day because they are depended on men. For this initiative we need to give dignity and hope to Orphaned and Vulnerable children.

Kinderen zijn overal ter wereld de “zwakkeren” van de samenleving. Vooral kinderen zonder ouders of verzorgers staan zwak. Zij hebben iemand nodig die voor hen opkomt en zorgt dat ze datgene krijgen wat ze nodig hebben en waar ze recht op hebben. Stichting BeHoCa zet zich hiervoor in en neemt zoveel mogelijk straatkinderen op in hun tehuis (eerste project) waarbij de kinderen voldoende gespecialiseerde hulp en ondersteuning wordt aangeboden. Dit zodat de kinderen zichzelf weer open durven te stellen om te durven dromen, om te durven veranderen, om te leren en te groeien, maar vooral… om weer kind te durven en mogen zijn! Without access to accurate menstrual education, girls are often absent from school during menstruation, missing up to four days of school every month. 1/3 of girls in South Africa report staying out of school during menstruation, others drop out of school completely. The reason is often as simple as they cannot afford, or do not have access to, basic feminine hygiene products. Wild Hearts Foundation Africa was founded to keep girls in school, and is committed to addressing the problems of menstrual education and accessible hygiene products while employing women to work in our factory which has manufactured and distributed over 68 000 reusable sanitary pads to school girls.

The youth at our Courage Youth Schools are underserved and continually face issues such as dysfunctional/abusive families, substance abuse, gender-based violence, teen pregnancy and poverty. Due to these circumstances, they are hampered in their academic progress by overcrowded classrooms, a general lack of discipline within their schools, and little parental support for solid academic performance. This contributes to them facing prospects of tertiary education or employment after graduation. We address these challenges and assist youth through our broad-based education programs. As a team, we are passionate and dedicated to helping the youth in South Africa.

The Western Province Chinese Association (WPCA) is a non-profit formed to support the Chinese community in the Western Cape. The WPCA Community Centre hosts sporting, educational and cultural activities run by groups within or connected to the organisation. We provide a safe environment for the intergenerational community and friends to socialise, grow and learn from each other. The centre hosts several events including a Chinese New Year lunch and annual Chinese Food Fair to celebrate Chinese culture. Many of the fundraising initiatives are for the upkeep of the premises, without which would fall into disrepair. The centre remains a home to develop and grow friendships and relationships.

Our missing is to create opportunities for young people living in disadvantaged communities, giving them the tools they need to succeed in life. We provide a range of services to support young people in their educational pursuits and personal growth including the Sustainable Development Goals Book Club. The book club is for children aged 6 to 13. We also have a sports programme to keep children off the streets. The programme cconsists of a netball club and a boys soccer team. We plan on expanding it to include basketball as well as a girls soccer club. We rely on the support of donors and volunteers to continue providing services and implementing programmes for our communities.

Afgelopen maand hebben wij 18 watertonnen geplaatst in het binnenland vanwege het corona virus en momenteel zijn we bezig met het regelen van voedselpakketten. El Arbol is een kleine stichting, werkzaam in Nicaragua sinds 1997. We opereren vanuit Chinandega in de kleine dorpen in de omgeving op het platteland, aan een betere toekomst voor de meest kwetsbare groep in de samenleving: vrouwen en kinderen. Onze kernwaarden zijn: compassie, gelijkheid en duurzaamheid. We werken samen met Nederlandse en Nicaraguaanse vrijwilligers, vrouwenorganisaties, scholen en milieuorganisaties aan o.a. armoedebestrijding, vrouwenrechten, scholing en herbebossing. Samen kunnen we het mogelijk maken om een duurzame toekomst te bewerkstelligen waarin meer gelijkheid is tussen mannen en vrouwen. Vrouwen in Nicaragua verdienen 20% minder dan mannen in gelijke beroepen. Armoede bestrijden we door duurzame werkgelegenheid te scheppen. Voorbeelden van onze projecten: Los Laureles, een meubel en timmerwerkplaats met speciale aandacht voor vrouwen sinds 1995 in bedrijf, meer dan 200 vrouwen en meisjes hebben er een technische opleiding gekregen. Gratis naailessen voor meisjes van de markt, die al jong moeten werken op straat en veel risico lopen. Gratis computerlessen voor kansarme meisjes en vrouwen, ze krijgen basisles in word, excel en internetgebruik. Gratis milieu en biologische landbouwlessen aan vrouwen op het platteland met een eigen boerderij. Hierbij wordt samen gewerkt met de dorpsvertegenwoordigsters. Het bomenproject, op scholen richten we boomkwekerijen op, waarbij de scholieren nauw betrokken zijn, zowel bij aanleg, onderhoud en uiteindelijk als de boompjes sterk genoeg zijn gaan we ze planten op plaatsen waar het hard nodig is om zodoende dreigende bodemerosie tegen te gaan. Als laatste onze jaarlijkse kerstaktie waarbij we elk jaar houten speelgoedjes aan de arme kinderen in de dorpen uitdelen. Het speelgoed worden met donaties gemaakt in de werkplaats Los laureles. Dit is een echte El Arbol traditie; vrijwilligers van de stichting gaan verkleed als kerstma, er is een clown, kinderen worden geschminkt, er zijnversnaperingen, muziek. Ook wordt de kinderen spelenderwijs verteld dat ze zuinig moeten zijn op de bossen (duurzaamheid).

Orange Babies zet zich in voor een hiv en aids vrije wereld. Orange Babies initieert en steunt in Namibië, Zambia en Zuid-Afrika projecten voor zwangere vrouwen, kinderen en direct betrokkenen die de gevolgen van de hiv-epidemie ondervinden. Dit wordt gerealiseerd m.b.v. (mobiele) klinieken, (wees)huizen en scholen. Onze doelen: Voorkomen dat een zwangere vrouw het hiv-virus doorgeeft aan haar baby. Hoi, ik ben Jobke Moens, 16 jaar en zit in 5 havo op het TBL, Oss. Mijn droom is om binnen 6 maanden de Atlantische Oceaan over te steken tijdens school bij School at Sea. Dit ga ik doen zodat ik naast mijn schoolwerk mijn kwaliteiten ontwikkel en andere mensen inspireer. Mijn persoonlijke kwaliteiten zijn samenwerken, behulpzaam en verantwoordelijk zijn. In deze ontwikkelingen ga ik verder groeien, zodat ik situaties buiten school meemaak en leer hoe ik dit aanpak. In de loop der tijd ga ik mij inzetten voor mens en milieu en daarbij ga ik anderen een verantwoordelijkheidsgevoel geven voor de plek waar we leven. KF Food Security Initiative aims to address poverty among community members living in rural villages of Eastern Cape Province South Africa. KF distributes food parcels to the most in need and supports community members to start vegetables farming. The vegetables farming initiative also serves as income generation that improves lives and livelihoods of families. Eastern Cape Province is the poorest province in South Africa. This means millions of people go to bed hungry. KF seeks to make a difference through this initiatives among other initiatives that it implements.

The primary objective of the BackaBuddy Children's Fund is to provide support to children who are afflicted with cancer and their parents, who are often coping with the emotional and financial burdens associated with their child's illness. All donations received for the children's cancer fund will be administered by BackaBuddy NPC, and on a monthly basis, medical campaigns meeting specific criteria submitted to the platform will receive matched funding from the fund. The matched funding will help augment the campaign's outreach efforts, stimulate donations, and double the impact of each donor's contribution. Stichting Straatkinderen van Kathmandu is opgericht door Lies Vink. 'Ik zet mij actief in voor straatkinderen en kansloze vrouwen in Kathmandu in Nepal. In maart 2008 heb ik een kinderhuis opgezet: Marinka Children Home, omdat er grote behoefte was aan meer plaatsen voor straatkinderen. In november 2010 is er een nieuw kinderhuis geopend: Tiom Laura Home. Er wonen nu 80 kinderen bij ons. We bouwen momenteel een aardbevingsbestendig huis, we kunnen je hulp goed gebruiken! Abalimi Bezekhaya (meaning farmers of the home in isiXhosa) is a non-profit urban-farming organization, established in 1982, that supports individuals and groups from disadvantaged communities in Cape Town through providing facilitation and training on organic food production for nutrition, health, food security and income generation. Abalimi provides support services based on five pillars of development: • Training and extension services • Access to affordable agri-resources • Infrastructure support and soil building • Market access • Social and Organisational support Vegetables are grown for own use and income generation in the townships.

Stichting Friends for Life draagt bij aan een duurzame ontwikkeling in Kenia, door het verstrekken van studiebeurzen aan getalenteerde studenten afkomstig uit de meest arme gebieden en leefomstandigheden. De studenten, ondersteund door Friends for Life, zijn enorm gemotiveerd om verder te studeren. Zij worden begeleid tijdens en na hun studie. Vervolgens worden zij zelf sponsor van een nieuwe student via het ‘student-sponsort-student’. Hierdoor staat elke sponsoring garant voor vele studiebeurzen in de toekomst. Onderwijs is het beste wapen tegen armoede!

We are actively working in social relief where our projects are aimed at vulnerable women and children especially,Our area of operation is Delft. We rely on donations for our work . We feed 150-200 per day at our soup kitchen per day. Our project "refuge for vulnerable women & children" aims to provide accomodation and skills to the vulnerable women and children in our community. We have identified a property that is suitable for this but we need your assistance to achieve our goal.

Today we are raising funding to build the 1st sewing skills and entrepreneurship training centre in Mitchell's Plain, and you can help. Many of us want a brighter future for our children, but the reality for the youth in Mitchell's Plain is harsh. The lack of job opportunities and the prevalence of drugs, alcohol, and abuse can make it difficult for young women to see a positive future. The Design26 Foundation aims to break this cycle by providing skills, work opportunities, and a positive outlook to young women in our community. With youth unemployment in South Africa at 51.4%, we need to take action now to support our youth.
